About Derek
Since joining the auto industry in 2011, my goal has always been customer satisfaction. When it comes to my clients at Al Serra Auto Plaza, they can rely on me for honest service. My goal is to help them find the perfect vehicle for the best price. I make the buying experience informative and fun. Working in the best interests of my clients is what I’m known for around the dealership. I currently have an AFIP and Ford certifications and am working on becoming fully certified in GM vehicles. I am very passionate about solving people’s problems; I enjoy finding out what a person needs and solving that need efficiently and with a smile. In my spare time, I love to play golf and tell dad jokes. My wife and children love to travel; we go to Disney World every year. I am a big fan of all things Disney!

I have been working with Derek purchasing vehicles over the last six years. Derek has always been professional and knowledgeable about which vehicle I am purchasing, which helps me make the right decisions on the vehicle that I need. I went into this experience not sure which route to go - put money into the vehicle I have or trade in for a newer model with less miles. Derek listened and was not pushy. He provided options that were within my requests and found something that fit my needs. He remained in communication with me throughout the process, even when some hiccups in paperwork (no fault of mine or dealerships) arose. He also gets bonus points because my young kids came along and he included them, never seemed bothered but rather offered them things to do/included them in conversations, and made the experience about my family which meant a lot to me and to them! We will go back and can’t thank Derek enough!

Derek is an amazing salesman! He always makes finding a new truck so easy and I don’t have to worry. He found the exact Silverado 1500 that I was looking for and a lower price than I had before! He had everything ready to go the day of pickup and I was in and out of the dealership in under 45 minutes. He made sure to take care of all the paperwork and insurance. He explained everything to me in detail and is very friendly. I will keep coming back to him time after time whenever anyone in my family needs a new vehicle. Thank You Derek!
